Kauai Vacation Rentals Our quiet retreat is tucked away in spacious Wailua Homesteads, just above Opaekaa Falls. In fact, we are located on Opaekaa Road, a short drive up from the mouth of the Wailua River. The cottages are nestled in a garden of exotic tropical plants and trees. Guests can enjoy such fruits as bananas, avocados, papayas, pineapples, oranges and more, when in season. Wailua Homesteads is a delightful mixture of residences and pasture areas, which 100 years ago were ranches and rolling grasslands. The area gives you a beautiful feeling you can't get anywhere else on Kauai. We are located only minutes away from some of the nicest beaches and restaurants on the island. You can kayak on the nearby Wailua River. Or, if you like to hike, Nounou "the sleeping giant", a distinctive landmark and county park, is less than a half-mile away, and has a number of great trails and splendid views. There are public tennis courts down the road. The Wailua Golf Course and Lydgate Beach Park are only a few mintes drive. |
